Starting time:   09.00 hours

Regarding a new security system at the Ministry of Transport. You will have to show an ID (e.g. a passport or a driving license) at the entrance and then you will receive a visitors card. It is not possible to use the elevators or to enter the staircases without a visitors card.

If you forget to bring along an ID you will have to name Mr. Birklhuber as your contact person in the Ministry. Mr. Birklhuber will be called and will come down and identify you.

1. Welcome and introduction of the new members.

2. Meeting report of the RIS Committee of the European Union (by Mrs. Astrid Schlewing, EC)
An overview on the progress and developments of the RIS-Committee and applicable European projects will be given.

3. Minutes previous meeting, including the action points of the previous meeting.

4. Secretariat
 In the past period participants have join/left the ERI-expertgroup and/or email addresses have been changed. The secretariat has distributed a participants (membership) list with the request to update this list. For a final review, this list will be checked country by country.
 
5. European Developments.
-IRIS Europe II: Specific ERI related activities (PMT of IRIS Europe II”) 
-PLATINA-project (Mr. Willems, Mr. Baeck and Mrs. Schmorak)
   - Proposed Terms of Reference for RIS Expert Groups
   - Status of European Hull Database, incl. specific implications for ERI Expert Group, incl. specific implications for the ERI expert group

6. Ongoing implementation Electronic Reporting: progress reports of participants (all).
The representatives will give a status overview of the implementation and the best practice in the several countries involved.

7. Harmonisation regarding of vessel types(Austria, all).
During the elaboration of the specifications of the Unique Hull Database it was noticed that two vessel type code sets are in use. The objective of this agenda topic is to determine the requirements for harmonising the vessel types of UN Rec 28 ("RIS types") with the types out of Directive 2006/87/EC ("Certification Types"). Based on the requirements of the European fairway authorities for harmonising the vessel types a consolidated proposal could be drafted. Draft proposal for harmonisation is documented in CR 10.  (Reference agenda point 9.3.b)
